PRESCHOOL
LAMBS
BLESSED
Blessed Lambs Preschool’s 4 Year Old Program began in 1997 with just 20 children and has grown to 45 children. While it began meeting for 2 ½ hrs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the program changed to a 4 hour program a few years ago. There are 3 classrooms with a teacher and an aide in each classroom. The teachers use Frog Street’s Pre-K Curriculum. Each day the children spend time on literacy, science, math, music, movement and gross motor activities. The most important focus of this program is kindergarten readiness. The program meets on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm and runs during the school year from September through May.
Blessed Lambs Preschool’s 2 Year Old Program actually began as a Mom’s Day Out Program in 1992. After the preschool began in 1997, the Mom’s Day Out Program changed over time to become strictly a 2 year old program. The program has the capacity of 40 children, with 20 attending on Monday & Tuesday, and 20 attending on Wednesday & Thursday. There is a teacher and an aide in each classroom. The children attend for 3 hours each day, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. For many of the children, it is a first experience in being away from Mom or Dad for the first time. While the program follows the Frog Street 2’s (Frog Street Press), the most important aspect of this program is the socialization that takes place. The program runs during the school year from September through May.
